Kort Builders partnered with Blackline Studio to transform a former private barn and athletic facility into the modern Grantham Amenity Center in Fishers, Indiana. Originally constructed in 1999 by a doctor for his children, the 6,800 SF structure had strong bones and plenty of character, but it needed major updates to meet today’s standards for comfort, recreation, and community living. Under a lump sum contract, Kort Builders reimagined the space into a vibrant hospitality-focused centerpiece for the Grantham community.

Today, the amenity center offers residents a true resort-style experience, complete with a swimming pool, indoor basketball court that converts into a pickleball court, dedicated dog park, and miles of walking trails surrounded by 42 acres of nature preserves and creeks. Inside, the facility features inviting lounge areas, a full kitchen, indoor and outdoor seating, and a covered porch equipped with a fireplace and retractable screens for year-round enjoyment. A community fire pit creates an additional gathering space designed to bring neighbors together.

From preserving the integrity of the original structure to integrating modern amenities and finishes, this project showcases Kort Builders’ ability to breathe new life into existing spaces while creating destinations built for connection, wellness, and everyday living.
